Rare & highly collectable. Mochaware was a soft, dipped and decorated earthenware made in the early to mid 1800’s. While the pottery was set out to be utilitarian as their primary function, the decoration and aesthetic appeal of craftsmanship make for stunning collection pieces. This style of “seaweed” or tree-like glazing uses a technique of applying decorative slip a top another wet slip to create tree-like branch patterns.
